Ark, by Martin Puryear

The installation art on the York College campus is visible throughout the Atrium.

From Martin Puryear's Ark (shown at right, during installation) to Houston Conwill's Arc (found at the Guy R. Brewer Boulevard entrance to the College, members of the campus community cannot help but notice the pieces. Students heading into the parking lot actually drive over Steed Taylor's Road Tattoo installation.

Much of the installation art on campus was commissioned through the Percent for Art initiative described in the "About the Gallery" section of the website.

Other pieces were gifted to the college, or come to York through some other arrangement.

Neon for York by Stephen Antonakos was created specifically for the college and is a prominent feature on a column in the Academic Core.
